Just before Christ finally left this world, and ascended into heaven in the sight of his apostles, they asked him: "Lord, has the time come? Are you now going to restore the Kingdom of the world to Israel?" But, he sternly answered them: "It is not for you to know that time or that date, for that has been decided by the authority of the Father." (Acts 1:7) Rather, he warned them earlier that "The Jews must be scattered unto every pagan country, and Jerusalem must be trodden underfoot by pagans until the age of the gentiles is completely over." (Luke 21:24)

The world is finally facing the "end of the age of the gentiles." "It will be a day dark with cloud, the end of an epoch for the nations." (Ezek.30:3) The crisis in the middle east seems to be quickly moving unto the completion of all the Biblical prophecies. Most fearsome, the earth must pass through the completion of the horrific prophecies of Ezekial, Chapter 38, and Revelation 20:8. Both of these refer precisely to to the world of today. The old testament prophets clearly foretell the great chastisement which faces the world. "The day of wrath is coming to root out the sinners from the earth. On that day, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give her light." (Is.13:10) "That day will be sprung on you suddenly, like a trap! It will come down on everyone living on the face of the earth!" (Luke 21:35) "Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give her light. The sign of the son of man will appear in the heavens." (Matt. 24:30) "It will be a day dark with cloud, the end of an epoch for the nations." (Ezek.30:3) The sign of the the Son of Man, is the great portent of the cross in the heavens. This is the SIGN that the Blessed Virgin Mary referred to at Akita when she said: "the only consolation for the survivors will be ... the sign that my Son shall leave."

The events in the Church and the world are reeling out of control. The unraveling of the age of the gentiles began at the end of the year 2000, which closed the millennium in a Great Jubilee, which granted the total forgiveness and remission of sins to all mankind. That was the great historic marker. After that, the bad fruit within the Church itself began to be violently shaken from the tree. Sorrowfully, mankind continues to indulge itself as a culture steeped in the mockery of God, and unprecedented sexual decadence. On April 16, 2002,  the Supreme Court of the United States enacted the legalization of computer generated pictures and movies of lewd and graphic sexual child pornography. Such images and movies may now be circulated with freedom via the Internet or magazines throughout the entire nation.

Perhaps worse for the modern generation, the priests themselves have become a great scandal for the whole world. Many of those who were appointed to protect and to teach God's people to lead pure and saintly lives, turned their holy station into an abomination of desolation. From the pulpit many became cowards. In recent decades, priests rarely spoke to the faithful about effective prayer, or true holiness. They almost NEVER clearly taught about sin, or of the necessity for Christians, especially teenagers, to lead lives of purity. Rather, they universally adopted a preaching style that was vague and secular in tone.

While they seemed to be concerned with 'love for one another', they disregarded the necessity of frequent confession, or prayer, or chastity. For the most part, the Catholic clergy itself lost the sense of the importance of consciously striving to remain in a state of grace.

Priests began to perpetrate innumerable liturgical abuses. They taught, by their own example, blatant disobedience to the Church itself by ignoring the cannons of the Sacred Liturgy. The norms of the Liturgy are clearly mandated by the Sacramentary of the Roman Missal. Many continue to grossly alter the mandatory words of the prayers of the mass. Huge numbers of priests began to follow the example of the priest in the demonic movie THE EXORCIST, and to break the host when he did, at precisely the wrong moment. (Thus, the movie The Exorcist became a teacher for the Catholic clergy about how to perform the Sacred Liturgy of the Eucharist.) This was, and is, an offensive wide-spread liturgical abuse. Many priests still ritually subject the Church to this abuse, which was made popular in 1972 by that frightening demonic movie. It ends in the deaths, and the despair, of the priests involved.

Finally, many religious, both priests and nuns, became candidly sympathetic to the homosexual counter-culture. Many of them participated in it themselves. Today, the secular news continues to report the horrific sexual abuses which the clergy has perpetrated upon innocent children, or upon others whom they were appointed to guide and to protect. This apostasy within the Church, bodes ill for the fate of civilization itself. So grievous is the apostasy of the entire Christian culture, that Holy Father was impelled to consecrated it, and the coming age, to the protection of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. He did this in Rome, on Oct. 8, 2000 in a Collegial Consecration in union with all of the Bishop's of the World.

The last time, (1987) the Holy Father named a special "Marian Year" - the Berlin Wall fell within the year. Within a decade of consecrating the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary the whole communist block crumbled into rubble. Now, God is allowing the tree of the whole Church to be violently shaken so that the rotten fruit will fall. But today, the nation of Israel is assembled together in this post-christian civilization, after having been scattered among every pagan country. It has been called into the reckoning of "the times and dates decided by the Father's authority." (Acts 1:7, Ezek: 38, Romans 11:23-32) For the sake of the survival of the Church itself, the Holy Father consecrated this very age to the protection of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. This was not just a religious ritual: this was a necessity! This generation, so steeped in sin, now faces the tribulation worse than the deluge.

As our Lady at Akita said: "only those who place their confidence in me will survive."  The apostate 'Christian Civilization' of today, termed: "Babylon the Great" will suffer a similar end as did atheistic empire of Communism: and with a similar speed. But, the end of this epoch of Babylon the Great, this apostate Christian culture, will not be gentle. "Flee out of her my people, do not share in her sins or have her punishments to bear. Every one of her orgies and her shows will be matched by a torture or a grief. In a single day, in a single hour - she will be burned right up, for God has condemned her."  (Rev.18:8) The odds of survival for many are not good. For months AFTER the Great Tribulation, life may seem unbearable. In fact, many who do survive "will envy the dead."

The final outcome, however, will be triumph for the Church! "Rejoice heaven! Celebrate her downfall all you saints! The Lord has given judgment for you against her. Like a boulder, as a great millstone will she be hurled into the sea. So shall the great Babylon be cast down!" (Rev.18:20) "I heard the voices of a huge crowd, answer: Alleluia! The reign of the Lord, our Almighty God has begun!" (Rev.19:7) "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our God, and of his Christ!" (Rev.11:15)

If you do want to survive the coming tribulation, it will require special protection: "One will be taken - and one will be left."  It was of this very time and age which we are now entering, about which Our Lady prophesied: "One day, through the Rosary and the Scapular - I will save the world." If you do want to survive, you must wear the Brown Scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. This is the symbol of your own consecration to her Immaculate Heart. You should ask a priest to use the special prayer in the Book of Blessings to enroll you in the Confraternity of the Brown Scapular. In this way, you will gain all of it's sacramental protections, and the special blessings granted to those who are enrolled. Secondly, you must try to pray the Rosary as often as you can.

#1) Wear the Brown Scapular, and be enrolled in the Confraternity of the Brown Scapular.

#2) Own, pray, and have about you the most Holy Rosary. You may want to enroll in the Confraternity of the Most Holy Rosary. Three other things are suggested:

First, you must take what Our Lady said at Akita very, very seriously: "Only those who place their confidence in me will survive." Do you have that confidence in her, that she will especially, and miraculously protect your life at the hour of the 'Anger of the Lamb'?  (Rev. 6:15) Probably, you do not. That confidence is a special grace. If you REALLY have it - consider yourself blessed - and protected. But, if you do not have that confidence- which is the case with most of us - understand that it is a grace and a gift. It must be prayed for and hoped for. That confidence is a great mark of predestination. Confidence in Our Lady's special protection is a special seal. But, for all who fear, REMEMBER that you do have the RIGHT to her protection! That right was given to you by the Collegial Consecration of the World to the PROTECTION of the Blessed Virgin Mary. You must CLAIM that privilege which has been made spiritually available to you through the collegial consecration of the world to the protection of the Immaculate Heart by all the Bishops at Rome in union with the Holy Father.

Secondly, it would be very wise to have a small image of the Divine Mercy, laminated, blessed, and placed above the lintel of your door way. To acquire such an image, and to understand the reason for this: CLICK HERE.

Finally, consider a different interpretation of Our Lords advise: "Do not turn back for your cloak or your hat - but flee into the mountains." In terms of scriptural exegesis - the "mountains" refer to the very greatest saints. In such a case of dire emergency, that means that you must: FLEE TO JOSEPH AND MARY. Flee like a child to your parents! Flee to the mountains - they - and they alone have the power to protect you from their Son. Cast yourself at the feet of St. Joseph, the Patron of the Universal Church - who is the Father of our Holy Family, and cast yourself at the feet of our Most Holy Mother, Mary: she is our most powerful help before the Divine Justice, (after the precious blood of Jesus). If you have done all of the things mentioned above: in Joseph and Mary you will find your final protection at the hour of your greatest need. If you do these things, if it be God's will for you, you can survive.
